Headless chicken during CNY 2005

We are the music makers and we are the dreamers of dreams...

Woohooo!!!!
Man! I am bushed xia! (Bushed = tired = wasted in a good way ;p)

Amendment:
The opening kick that with the power to K.O., is not a slamming kick but a reverse high turning kick. I still love slamming kicks though. :D

Could not sleep on Wednesday night, mainly due to my extreme anticipation of the day’s event(s).
Toss and turn and turn and toss till the breaking of daylight. Geez~ But, it’s not to say that it was not for a good cause. I had a wonderful day and it was all thanks to my friends. ^-^

I was supposed to meet Alfred, Elaine, Jared and Hui Fen at the Kovan MRT station at 10am; Fulin would meet us at Plaza Singaura. (Key word: supposed)
Alfred messaged me at 9.30am odd telling me that he was already at the station. O.O Naturally I was shocked, then again this sort of behavior is not wholly unexpected from him. Haha
–dodges for cover from Alfred’s rifle-
The rest were kinda late and I was the second to reach. Mainly thanks to that sms from Alfred. I practically flew from home lor~
When we finally reached Plaza Singapura, the first order of business was to buy the tickets for the movie: Constantine. (More on that later.)
That was followed by lunch at Long John Silver, where I repeated history, so to speak, and toppled my drink. (The last time that happened was when I was at BK after the grading…remember?) The clumsy me comes back with a vengeance! o.O’’’
When we finally finished with the food, we made our way to the 7th floor to get ourselves prepared for the movie. The deal with Jared was that he would pay for all the food only if we could finish all the stuff that was bought. 2 Sugar pop corn + 2 boxes of Salt pop corn + 3big cups of Coke + 1 cup of Spirte were purchased and brought into the cinema to be consumed. Unfortunately, we did not manage to meet the requirements of the deal, so we went dutch with the paying of the snacks. Honestly, I have never eaten so much within one movie sitting. *bleah* Next time round, we must remember not to buy so much… then Jared will have to pay…-evil laughter-

Once the movie was over, we made our way to Ngee Ann City to our destination of Kinukoniya. When we got there, 80% of the building was sealed off from the general public; so obviously, the bookshop would not have been open. Who would have known that the place would be closed off as such?! Since the place was off limits to us, we made for Borders, but for some reason, Jared did not want to go there, so we parted ways at the entrance to Borders. Alfred got his WW2 book; we walked around and headed back for PS to play arcade games.

We initially decided that the Istana was going to be one of the places which we would drop by, since it was open today. One look at the queue, which went all the way to the outside of PS, and we threw that idea out the window. I even took pictures of how long the queue was!

The arcade was crawling with people when we went there. Alfred is a sniper maniac! Elaine and Hui Fen should not be allowed to drive on the roads! Why? They both won in Daytona! Speeding not allowed in Singapore ah~ hahahaha

We walked around quite a bit before deciding to go our separate ways. From there I caught a bus to Uncle Sunny’s house for a family gathering. Hung out with my cousins and ate dinner there. Food! Food! Food! More food! *buuuurrp!* Oppz! Excuse me. I wonder how many kilos I will put on during this period…I wonder how much I have to do to get rid of the extra weight. Oh gosh~

I brought the camera out especially for the outing with my PLK CC TKD friends, as did Fulin. We went nuts taking photos. Hahaha…see something nice – SNAP! Walking pass somewhere – SNAP! Outside PS – SNAP! SNAP! SNAP! SNAP! Buah hahahha~ I will try and get the photos online asap. :) (Key word: Try – 56K is very slow -_-;;; Paiseh…)

Back to Constantine!
I can’t believe that Keanu Reeves is 40 this year! O.o Argh~ All along I thought he was in his early 30’s. He is still drool worthy and can rock my world any time. –migumi laughter- He never fails to take my breath away *sigh* -gets that dreamy look-
I had doubts about watching the movie at first because of the content of the story, but after much praying and good reviews from friends and the newspaper, I decided to go ahead with the show.
Rachel Weisz was also another draw for me to watch the film. I have seen her in many roles thus far and she is one of my favorite actresses.
I went into the cinema with an open mind and was not let down by either the storyline or the actors or the effects. It was rather cool to see how Hollywood depicts hell and other aspects of good and evil. I must say that who ever came up with the plot has one hack of an imagination.
The plot revolves around John Constantine (Keanu) –gets that dreamy look-…*sigh* … Ahem! John Constantine…*sigh*… and his quest to buy his way into heaven after having experienced hell for 2 minutes when he committed suicide at a young age. He can see what normal people can’t and he has knowledge that can certainly kill.
Angela (Rachel) is a cop whose twin sister has apparently committed suicide and she also happens to be the key to a diabolical plot.
Things go out of hand and the balance is broken.
People die and demons get sent back to hell.
Thing explode here and there.
Shocks are thrown in at appropriate times.
Anti-climaxes abound.

I enjoyed the movie. I would love to buy the VCD when it comes out but I don think that I will be able to get it pass the front door. See it if you can, it requires the darkness and ambience of the theatre to achieve the mood. I give it 4 out of 5 ticks. Keanu gets 10 licks.
-migumi laughter-

Today, I accompanied Pauline and Jason to the supermarket to buy groceries for Pauline’s steamboat night. It shall take place tomorrow evening.
We went Hougang Point – Festival Market to buy the stuff. Filled the shopping cart to the brim with: fish balls, sotong balls, crabmeat balls, prawn balls, vegetables, etc. Basically imagine everything one could eat at a steamboat dinner, and that would be what we bought.
–chuckles-
We bought so much that we ended up taking a cab back to Pau’s place. Once upstairs, the food stuff got put away in record time. Then we proceeded to Pau’s room to play with her computer and new piano! It is a work of technological art. The sounds that it makes are out of this world. :)
Pau has a very squeaky-creaky bed. Shift a bit only it will make sound. Mah Chum like that scene in “Shakespeare in Love” hahaha…
Hung out till about 5.15pm odd before leaving for home. Pau and Jason went to J8 to watch Constantine. I could not go because TKM said “N.O.” Oh well~

I wonder why Yingz keeps bumping into *chooff! chooff!* I would really love to see how *chooff! chooff!* looks like now, seeing that I have not seen *chooff! chooff!* in more than two years. Is God trying to tell me something? Aiyo, headache ah!

Oh yeah! I have to download Real player… my computer doesn’t have it… aiyo, more headache ah!

My brother’s moving out soon. I will miss having him around the house and bossing me around. As much as I profess to being irritated by his behavior, it was what I grew u with and old habits die hard. I think I will go stay with him during the weekends. Muah ahahahha…

I shall get on my headless chicken tomorrow. (Pun not intended) There is much running around to do. From Mr. Chow’s house to Karen’s home and finally to Pau’s place. The joy of the Lord is my strength! Wooohooo~

Franz Ferdinand - Take Me Out Lyrics

So if you're lonely
You know I'm here waiting for you
I'm just a cross-hair
I'm just a shot away from you
And if you leave here
You leave me broken, shattered I lie
I'm just a cross-hair
I'm just a shot, then we can die

I know I won't be leaving here with you

I say don't you know
You say you don't know
I say... take me out

I stay, you don't show
Don't move, time is slow
I say... take me out

I say don't you know
You say you don't go
I say... take me out

If I move, this could die
If eyes move, this could die
I want you... to take me out

I know I won't be leaving here (with you)
I know I won't be leaving here
I know I won't be leaving here (with you)
I know I won't be leaving here with you

I say don't you know
You say you don't know
I say... take me out

If I wane, this could die
If I wait, this could die
I want you... to take me out

If I move, this could die
If eyes move, this could die
Come on... take me out

I know I won't be leaving here (with you)
I know I won't be leaving here
I know I won't be leaving here (with you)
I know I won't be leaving here with you
